Val di Zoldo to host EUSA Winter Sports in 2023

Following the decision of the Executive Committee of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) to attribute the organization of the first European Universities Winter Championships to Val di Zoldo, EUSA representatives visited this Italian ski resort in the Dolomites for a working meeting on December 20-21, 2022.

The EUSA delegation led by Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik and Sports Manager Miha Zvan met with the representatives of the Organizing Committee, led by President of CUS Venezia Massimo Zanotto, to discuss all the organisational aspects of the championships to be held the Civetta ski area. Later on, they also had the chance to visit the planned accommodation and catering facilities.

In the afternoon, EUSA was welcomed by the Mayor of Val di Zoldo, Mr Camillo De Pellegrin, who assured the support of the local community for organisation of the event. The following day, EUSA representatives met with the Technical Delegate for Skiing, Mr Alberto Pecere to inspect the planned ski courses for the competitions in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding.

The European Universiteis Championship in Winter sports are planned to take place from December 18-21, 2023.

Working meetings with the local hosts

More information on the first edition of the European Universities Winter Championships in December 2023 in the Dolomites, Val di Zoldo will be available soon, and the registration for the event will open in June 2023. A few months before, EUSA Member Associations will meet in Val di Zoldo for the EUSA-FISU Seminar.
